Thermoplastic Splints

Thermoplastic Splints may be used to reduce pain, support arthritic or weak joints, improve function or position joints to enhance recovery or prevent deterioration.

During thermostatic splint manufacture, the therapist uses heat mouldable plastic to ensure a tailor-made fit and will work with the individual to ensure that the thermoplastic splint provided is effective and comfortable to wear.

A thermoplastic splint provides a unique individualised fit and can be altered on an ongoing basis to suit the individual’s needs.
